Xian: The rich cultural City with extensive mode of transport

Xian is one of the large city of china and also the capital city of Shaanxi province. The city was once known as Chang a means eternal peace. Xian is also the birthplace of an ancient civilization at yellow River, located in Basin area. The eastern terminal of the Silk Road and famous Terracotta warriors of Emperor Qin Shi Huang are the most world famous sites in Xian. The city has remained the capital of 13 dynasties for more than 1000 years. It is believed that 73 emperors of different dynasties had ruled Xian. With a long history of almost 3000 years, Xian has plenty of mesmerizing and prudent museums and cultural relics that influenced the whole world just like great China Wall.

How does it seem when you found such abundant attraction in one city? It would be worth seeing if someone goes to china to turn the page of history. But, with the excellent mode of transportation, one could read the whole book of Chinese history. In public transport, buses are the most frequent source of transport by daily commuters in Xian. Currently, 5,680 buses are operating on more than 200 lines in the city. In order to facilitate the tourist of the city, separate tourist buses are also running for the pleasant journey of the tourists. The train is another important source of transportation in Xian and serving a major network hub for central china. Trains are operating on the daily basis from/to major locations within the city. The train stations of Xian are located in north side of the city, almost outside the great wall.

The international airport of Xian is located at the central north, about 45 KM from Xianyang. Xian airport is the fourth largest airport of the great china, using for unnumbered domestic and international flights. To approach the airport, there are intercity buses which operate around the city to pick and drop airport travelers. Shuttle buses are also available to go around the Xian and nearby Xianyang as these buses are operating on 7 different routes.

Taxis are also a very comfortable medium of transport in Xian and easily accessible at train and bus stations with economical fare price. At the airport of Xian, Taxis are of two kinds, one is green which is a cheap taxi and the other one is black which is somehow considered luxurious and expensive taxi. Awesome places to visit in Xi’an

Xi’an is also known as Sian, filled with the huge collections of cultures, different religions and beautiful and charming places. This is the capital of Shaanxi province, situated in the northwest side of china. Xi’an is on of the oldest city in china and also one of the four great ancient capitals of china. This place is famous for having the inhabitant like emperor, courtesans, poets and many more. Even though it’s a old city but it’s historic elements are still kept with great care. Some of the places are so attached with historic event that you will get amazed by seeing them. The famous Silk Road of Xi’an is one of the place in Unesco World Heritage List, as well as the Muslim Quarter is trying to achieved its place.

There are so many places to visit in Xi’an with so many facilities attached with it, some of them are described below that’ll help to get a knowledge about Xi’an.
  • Big Goose Pagoda: this pagoda is the most renowned in Xi’an. This perfect symbol for Tang style pagoda in china. It’s activity was started in AD 652,when the valuable sutras of Buddha brought back from India. With natural beauty and religious environment pleases all of visitor.

  • Xi’an Museum: This museum representing the relics which is undergrounded for a long time in Xi’an.  Exhibition on Mind dynasty and jade art pieces are happening regularly. In the underground there is scale model of Xi’an will give you a clear view of previous Xi’an city.

  • Xi’an city Walls: in china there are few places where old wall are still standing, Xi’an is one of them. This famous wall was built in 1370 by the Ming dynasty. The wall are rebuilt and organized and a sideway beside it, which will take about four hour to complete the sightseeing.


  • Great Mosque: this mosque is one of the best collections of Chinese and Islamic combined architecture. The mosque was south faced and starts with a Chinese temple tower.  The whole place with garden, pagodas and sideways are Chinese design. Nice place to know the past of the Xi’an.   


  • Shaanxi history Museum: this museum is a place where anyone can find the history of Xi’an and have a great time pass.
